Company

Monva is situated in the Sierra Mágina region of Jaén, Andalusia, Spain, in the middle of one of the world's most important zones for olive oil production, in terms of volume and quality. Archaeological findings both on Monva's property and elsewhere in the area indicate that people have made olive oil in this region for at least 2,000 years.

Two approaches to oil-making set the Monva team (27 full-time, 120 harvest-time employees) apart:

  • its commitment to carrying out the entire process itself, on-site, from cultivating the olives, to bottling the oils
  • its pioneering spirit: it was the first in the country to implement drip irrigation in olive groves
