The main role of the Designation of Origin is to control the origin and quality of the oils produced and bottled in the entities registered, according to quality norm EN45011.
The control processes carried out by the technical team involve all the phases of the production and bottling cycle, from the pruning, fertilization and irrigation, to olive collection, oil production, storage in a cellar, and bottling.
The Designation of Origin Regulatory Council certifies the origin and quality of our oils, as well as the fulfillment of the requirements established in the Regulation on Integrated Production. Additionally, it guarantees that every oil bottled with their quality seal is free from chemical waste.
The Andalusian Government recognized the Sierra Magina Denomination of Origin in November 1995, and the European Union ratified it in 1999.
